Medicine and medical advances were equally named as both ways science has been helpful and harmful. Explain why this does or does not make sense to you.
I agree with this statement. Medical science has brought us chemo and surgeries, ut also has brought us knowlegde of poisonous plants and venom which leads to assasination.
Greg A thinks that science has helped medicine. Science has discovered cures and helped people recover from medical conditions. Science has made discoveries for medicines, leading to cures. Science has also saved lives from discovered cures.

Medical science is the worlds greatest invention because its helped so many people live rather than die because its formulas have helped cure diseases and prevent them to! I cannot think of one reason why Medical science could be harmful to the world. Alex V
Alex Haslam thinks that it does make sense that medicine helps you and hurts you but it helps you a lot more than it hurts you because most medicines are supposed to help you but as it helps you it can hurt you in the process. For example the cancer treatment helps you for sure but in the process it makes you lose all of your hair.
Nate H. thinks that medical science has been very helpful to humans. Scientist have discovered many cures to help people get over serious medical conditions. Back just a few hundred years ago you would catch a cold. Today, a cold is a very curable illness, but hundreds of years ago many people died from easily curable sicknesses like colds. Also, cancer used to be an incurable disease, but now thanks to medical science cancer cures have saved many lives. I am very pro medical science because I really don't know how medicine has been harmful. I would like to hear the other side of the argument
I think that while medicin can be very good for the world, it is also very dangerous. Many products are tested on animals and people, which can be very dangerous.
Olanne thinks that medical science is helpful to humans because medicanes are the cause of a longer life span. Since we know already, humans have been lasting longer over the years.
Science did help create medicine, and develop it. I also agree that it brought us knowledge of poisonous plants and venom, as mentioned before, but I want to point out that this knowledge of poison also allowed us to prevent it and find antidotes.
I think that medical science has been more helpful than harmful. People live longer now than they did 200 years ago. Dangerous diseases like Measles and Plague are almost completely gone. I can understand people taking to many prescription pills, but overall, medical science has been good for people.
This does make sense to me. Medicine and medical advances have been helpful because they have helped people stay healthy, alive, and cure illnesses. Medicine can also be harmful. Some medicines can be addicting and sometimes people fake a symptom or an illness so they can get some of those addicting medicines from their doctor. Then they either use that medicine to help there illegal addiction or they sell it to some one to help their illegal addiction. -Eliza B.
Gracie M. thinks... I believe science has helped us in medicine. With out medicine, where would we be today? What age would the average person be living until? With medicine our lives are changed. Yes, science has probably hurt our medical research sometime down the road, but has helped us more.

Sometimes scientists discover new medicines for the public and then they rush them out without looking into all the possible side effects. Then there are other times when medicines affect adults in a long term way, so that their children are born with any type of unwanted diseases disabilities etc. Medicines also have done helpful things to help us ease our pains and antibiotics.
